Description

Role Overview The Legal Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of litigation, legal recovery, regulatory compliance, and advisory functions. The role requires expertise in handling cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, recovery matters, regulatory licenses (including FSSAI), motor vehicle and labour law matters, land due diligence, and drafting of legal documents.

1. Litigation Management

- Handle and manage cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (Cheque Bounce cases).

- Manage recovery suits filed for outstanding balances and dues.

- Handle Motor Vehicle related cases (MVCA) including accident claims and related proceedings.

- Manage labour law cases including disputes, claims, and compliance matters.

- Handle consumer complaints and litigation before appropriate forums.

- Coordinate with external advocates, prepare case briefs, and track case progress.

- Ensure timely filings, hearings, and compliance with court procedures.

1. Recovery & Legal Actions

- Initiate and monitor legal proceedings for recovery of overdue amounts.

- Draft and issue legal notices, demand notices, and recovery-related correspondence.

- Assist in negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution.

1. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

- Handle FSSAI licensing, including application, renewal, and compliance.

- Manage and respond to any FSSAI-related notices, inspections, or cases.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules,



and regulatory requirements.

1. Operational Legal Support

- Handle matters related to release of detained/seized vehicles from authorities.

- Liaise with police, RTO, and other authorities for legal clearances.

- Provide legal support to operations, finance, and other internal departments.

1. Drafting & Documentation

- Draft and vet agreements, deeds, contracts, and legal notices.

- Prepare replies, affidavits, petitions, and other legal submissions.

- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all legal matters.

1. Land & Property Due Diligence

- Conduct legal due diligence of land and property transactions.

- Verify title documents, encumbrances, and statutory approvals.

- Identify legal risks and provide recommendations.

1. Liaison & Coordination

- Coordinate with courts, government departments, regulatory authorities, and legal counsel.

- Represent the organization before authorities where required.

1. Legal Advisory & Risk Management

- Provide legal advice on business operations and transactions.

- Identify potential legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks.the

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel for court hearings and authority visits.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

3-5 years of relevant experience in litigation and legal compliance.

LLB / LLM from a recognized university
