Position Summary

The AGM – Operations will be required to define and coordinate resources (people and equipment) as needed to meet production plan requirements while ensuring the department budget plan is achieved. The AGM – Operations will maintain appropriate staffing and overtime levels to support business needs, and coordinate resources as needed between production departments.

Provide needed support and direction to achieve 100% delivery, high inventory turns, machine/tooling optimization, safety and housekeeping. Working closely with cross-functional internal teams and suppliers. A successful AGM – Operations is a high-quality communicator and leader, detail oriented, has a strong technical background, and effectively drives project execution.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

- Manage Production Operations: Establish manufacturing and quality equipment, processes, and procedures in line with HUSCO expectations which meet or exceed planned operational metrics objectives in first pass yield, productivity, efficiency, customer quality and delivery ppm, and equipment availability achieving an overall OEE goal. Direct and coordinate operations to meet performance objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and expense management. Define and manage personnel and equipment resource needs in line with production schedules and forecasts. Own and update equipment capacity analysis. Determine how to leverage resources to grow operations to meet the needs of the organization.

- Manage Day to Day Activities of Staff: Provide direction and coordination regarding staffing needs, including permanent additions and reductions and temporary re-assignments to support production needs. Own and update human capacity analysis. Ensure production record keeping and reporting is properly maintained for attendance, overtime, performance reviews, accident reporting, disciplinary actions, etc., and is consistently enforced across all areas of responsibility.

Direct team to maximize staffing utilization and production output in accordance with operator training standards.



Identify and coordinate staff training needs to ensure a flexible workforce to meet our customers’ needs.

- Support New Product Development / Launches: Support the new product development process through participation in PFMEA, DFM, and CAPP activities to ensure project and operational objectives are met.
- Manage Continuous Improvement Efforts: Develop and drive longer term initiatives and projects for continuous and step function improvement in key performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.
- Maintain a Lean Manufacturing Culture: Use lean manufacturing techniques coupled with data driven decision making to drive 0 ppm customer reported quality, warranty and on-time delivery standards.
- Champion for Safety: Create an operation that meets all state regulatory standards for safety. Establish a positive culture aligned with the organization’s mission, HR policies and procedures, and consistent with HUSCO’s core values. Safety focus is critical.

Responsible for continuous training/education initiatives with intent to eliminate recordable and /or lost time injuries.

Also responsible for housekeeping in accordance with 5S principles.

- Provide Exemplary Internal / External Customer Service & Communication: Work closely with internal product and manufacturing engineering, and in some cases customers, during program launch to execute requests, respond to questions and build collaboration across teams (both internal and external) as necessary. Will be in regular communications with all levels of internal operations personnal to ensure production schedules are being achieved and prompt responses to all issues and inquiries.
- Strong Team Player and Contributor: Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high-pressure atmosphere. Combines strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution.
- Support Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Sales Functions: As required, support the other roles in the company for successful operation of the overall business.

Top management shall assign personnel with responsibility and authority to ensure that customer requirements are met.



This includes but is not limited to the selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer scorecards, and customer portals.

- Develop Employees: Provide a clear strategic direction and vision for direct reports which align with corporate objectives and manufacturing strategies. Demonstrate core cultural competencies to subordinates. Provide challenging and stretching tasks and assignments.

Attracts, develops and retains the best people from inside or outside the organization. Improve performance and abilities of subordinates by primarily leading by example and secondarily training, counseling, disciplining and responding to employee ideas and concerns.

Bring out the best in people and is an effective people builder.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Production Management or production support in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required.
- Union/Union avoidance experience a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Effective troubleshooting, problem solving and organizational skills. Able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner.
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
