We are looking for a motivated Assistant Electrical Engineer Intern based in Kochi to join our project execution team. This role is intended for an Electrical Engineering graduate or diploma holder who wants practical, site-based experience in HT/LT electrical contracting and project execution.

The intern will work closely with senior engineers and project teams and gain hands-on exposure to electrical installation, site coordination, documentation, testing, and commissioning.

This is a field-oriented engineering role, so candidates should be comfortable working at project sites and learning through practical experience rather than expecting an exclusively desk-based position. Humanity has somehow managed to build electrical systems by looking at drawings, so the drawings matter.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist senior engineers in the execution of HT/LT electrical works at project sites.
- Assist with installation and erection of:
- HT/LT panels
- Distribution panels and associated equipment
- Transformers
- HT/LT cables
- Cable trays and cable support systems
- Earthing and related electrical systems
- Assist in HT cable laying, routing, termination, jointing, and related site activities under qualified supervision.
- Read and understand electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, cable schedules, and basic electrical drawings.
- Assist in monitoring site work according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and other project teams as required.
- Assist with material verification, quantity checking,



and maintaining basic site records.
- Prepare or update basic project documentation, reports, checklists, measurements, and work progress records.
- Assist engineers during testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Follow applicable electrical safety procedures, site safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Report site progress, technical issues, material requirements, and deviations to the senior engineer.
- Support the project team in ensuring work is completed within the required quality, safety, and schedule parameters.

Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of:
- Electrical power systems
- HT/LT distribution
- Transformers
- Switchgear and protection
- Electrical cables
- Earthing
- Basic electrical drawings and SLDs
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Willingness to work at electrical project sites.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to learn technical procedures and work under the guidance of senior engineers.





Preferred Skills Candidates with knowledge or academic exposure to the following will be preferred:
- HT/LT panels and switchgear
- Transformer installation
- HT cable laying and termination

- AutoCAD / electrical drawings
- Electrical estimation and quantity measurement
- Basic knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards and electrical safety practices
