About the Role

CaliaC Studios and Yogalates with Rashmi are looking for a quick, organized and enthusiastic Assistant Cinematographer to support our studio productions and client shoots.

This is a hands-on production role. You will work with cameras, lenses, gimbals, lights and other studio equipment while assisting with social media shoots, YouTube productions, branded content, interviews, fitness videos and client projects.

You do not need to own a camera or equipment. However, you must know how to operate cameras confidently and understand the fundamentals of lighting, framing and camera movement.

Freshers with strong practical knowledge and the right attitude are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate cameras for studio and outdoor shoots
- Assist with social media, YouTube, promotional and client shoots.
- Operate gimbals and execute smooth camera movements.
- Set up lights, stands, modifiers and other production equipment
- Assist the cinematographer or director during shoots
- Manage camera settings, lenses, batteries, memory cards and accessories
- Ensure all equipment is charged, organized and ready before every shoot
- Pack, transport, set up and safely store production equipment
- Maintain the studio and keep all equipment organized
- Transfer, label, organize and back up footage after shoots
- Coordinate with the production and content teams
- Travel for shoots across Thane, Mumbai and nearby locations when required
- Respond quickly to changing requirements during a shoot

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mirrorless or DSLR cameras
- Understanding of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance




- Understanding of framing, composition and focus
- Basic knowledge of lenses and frame rates
- Ability to operate or learn professional gimbals
- Understanding of basic studio and location lighting
- Ability to handle cameras and production equipment responsibly
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work quickly and solve problems during shoots
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities

Bonus Skills The following skills are helpful but not mandatory:
- Video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
- Basic colour correction and sound synchronization
- Photography or product-shooting experience
- Experience creating Instagram Reels, YouTube videos or fitness content
- Basic knowledge of audio recording equipment
