Job purpose To drive the ambulance safely across the identified locations.
Duties and responsibilities Inspect the MMU vehicle before each shift, checking fuel levels, oil, transmission fluid, wiper fluid, coolant, and reporting any needed repairs or maintenance. Verify that medical supplies and first aid kits are adequately stocked and ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and clean. Assist in loading and unloading patients and medical equipment as required, ensuring safety and comfort during transport. Maintain a detailed driving log with daily entries, documenting mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Ensure the safety and security of all equipment and medical supplies within the vehicle. Adhere to organizational guidelines and contribute to achieving the project’s goals. Support community engagement efforts by helping build and maintain linkages within the project area. Assist with data entry tasks related to patient information, vehicle maintenance records, and other relevant documentation. Remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Provide support to the MMU team in non-driving tasks as needed.
Qualifications / Certifications High school diploma and valid driver's license. Minimum qualification: 12th pass with a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) license. Basic computer skills for data entry. First aid/BLS certification preferred. Emergency vehicle operator certification may be advantageous. Excellent defensive driving skills and the ability to read maps. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Positive judgment and decision-making skills.
Working conditions Appropriate minimum professional standards in required skill/competency (Typing, Communication...etc) in Tele-health perspective Technical / Physical requirements Required Languages: Direct reports Good physical agility. Should be open to work as per the organization and project requirement. Required rating out of score 10:6 Job location: Haridwar/Dehradun/Pauri/Nainital/US Nagar , Uttarakhand.
Timings: 8 hours per day Workdays: 6 days a week Able to Speak, Read and Write in English and Hindi (mandatory).
