AI Engineer Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate AI Engineer Intern to join our growing team. You will gain hands-on experience designing, building, and testing LLM-powered applications and agentic AI systems that solve real-world problems.

This internship offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of applied AI research and software engineering, learn modern AI technologies, and contribute to practical projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

LLM Integration & Prompt Engineering

- Assist in integrating LLM-powered features using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and open-source model APIs.
- Develop, test, and refine prompts for accuracy, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Work with structured outputs, function calling, and tool-use workflows.
- Explore prompt engineering techniques such as few-shot prompting and self-consistency.

Agentic Pipeline Development

- Assist in building multi-step agentic workflows using frameworks such as ADK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Support the development of multi-agent systems with role separation, task delegation, and coordination logic.
- Explore memory systems and persistent agent behavior.

RAG & Knowledge Systems

- Assist in developing and maintaining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
- Work with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or pgvector.
- Experiment with chunking strategies, embedding models, semantic search, and re-ranking.




- Evaluate retrieval quality and contribute to improving AI-generated responses.

Evaluation & Observability

- Assist in defining and tracking metrics for LLM output quality, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Work with evaluation tools such as RAGAS, LangSmith, or custom evaluation frameworks.
- Monitor AI applications and help identify issues such as hallucinations, regressions, and unreliable outputs.
- Document experiments, findings, and technical improvements.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Python, APIs, and software development.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI/ML concepts.
- Understanding of basic data structures and problem-solving.
- Eagerness to learn and work with modern AI technologies.
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills
- Python programming and API integration.
- Familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs.
- Basic knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph, or ADK.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Exposure to FastAPI, async programming, or backend development.




- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and software development practices.
- Interest in AI agents, automation, and intelligent applications.
- Academic projects, personal projects, GitHub repositories, or demos involving AI/ML or LLMs.

Nice to Have
- Exposure to Claude API and tool-use features.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS, TruLens, or DeepEval.
- Basic understanding of LLM security, prompt injection, and guardrails.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or published experiments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Academic or personal projects involving AI, ML, NLP, or LLMs are preferred.
- Solid interest in applied AI engineering and continuous learning.

Experience
- LLMs: 0–1 year / Academic or personal project experience preferred.
- Agentic Frameworks: Familiarity or project exposure preferred.
- RAG Systems: Basic understanding or project exposure preferred.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bengaluru, Karnataka Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
