The role offers an opportunity to lead the complete Quality function of a significant foundry operation and work closely with Production, Engineering, Metallurgy, Customers and Suppliers.

About the Role The incumbent will be responsible for leading the overall Quality function of the Foundry Division, covering:
- Foundry Quality
- Process Quality
- Customer Quality
- Supplier Quality
- Quality Systems
- Metallurgy & Laboratory
- Inspection
• Continuous Improvement
Key Responsibilities Lead the complete Quality function and establish Quality strategy, KPIs and improvement plans
- Drive quality across the complete foundry process from raw material & melting to moulding, core making, pouring, fettling, shot blasting, heat treatment and final inspection
- Identify and eliminate casting defects including blow holes, sand inclusion, shrinkage, porosity, misrun/cold shut, cracks, hardness and dimensional variations
- Lead Metallurgy & Laboratory activities including Spectro, Hardness, Tensile, Microstructure and Sand Testing
- Drive RCA, 8D, CAPA and permanent corrective actions
- Lead Customer Quality, customer complaints, audits and PPM improvement
- Provide Quality leadership for NPD / APQP / PPAP activities
- Ensure effective implementation of PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and Process Capability
- Lead IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 systems, internal, customer and certification audits
- Drive Supplier Quality Improvement initiatives
- Reduce rejection, rework, COPQ and customer PPM
- Promote Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Zero-Defect Manufacturing
- Lead, mentor and develop the Quality team and build a strong second line
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for professionals who have:
15+ years of experience in Quality
Strong and proven experience in Foundry / Casting Manufacturing
Experience in CI / SG Iron / Grey Iron / Ductile Iron or similar casting processes
Experience heading the overall Quality function of a plant / foundry division
Strong exposure to Foundry Quality, Metallurgy, Process Quality & Customer Quality
Experience managing a sizeable Quality team
Exposure to Automotive / Engineering / Industrial Casting customers preferred
Relevant Industries: Foundry | Casting | Auto Components | Heavy Engineering | Industrial Manufacturing
