- Conduct actuarial analyses for U.S. P&C; insurance products across multiple states, performing indication analyses and rate reviews to support commercial lines pricing and regulatory filings.
- Analyze data and perform actuarial calculations to generate state-specific filing exhibits and documents for DOI submissions.
- Manage filings and regulatory objections with Departments of Insurance (DOIs) across multiple Lines of Business (LOBs).
- Support monthly/quarterly rate updates and processes (rate files, RPC, forecasts).
- Assist in the development and enhancement of rate-filing tools, models, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed documentation for rate review, pricing models, and state filing reports and preparing presentations
- Assist in analyzing, identifying and tracking recent market trends, including underwriting and rate actions and proposing what actions to take
- Assist in audit functions as needed and ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
- Provide support in the preparation of financial reports, including reserve-related disclosures.
- Stay updated with best practices in actuarial methodologies and techniques.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachekors or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas
- Based out of India
- Affiliation to IAI, IFOA or CAS, with 2-6 actuarial exams will be an added advantage
- 4-7 years actuarial experience in the P&C; insurance industry.
Experience with or exposure to Commercial insurance products preferred
- Good understanding of P&C; insurance concepts and actuarial principles
- Familiarity with US State-specific rate filing processes is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other relevant tools for data analysis and modeling.
Experience in Python and Databricks is good to have
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
