ABOUT THE ROLE
Seceon is seeking an experienced Accounting and Finance Manager to manage accounting and financial operations across our India and U.S. businesses.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in QuickBooks, India and U.S. accounting, financial reporting, invoicing, collections, budgeting, taxation, intercompany accounting, and financial controls. The successful candidate must be able to independently maintain accurate books, close accounts on time, resolve discrepancies,
and provide leadership with reliable financial information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the general ledger and maintain complete and accurate accounting records in QuickBooks for Seceon’s India and U.S. operations.
- Manage intercompany transactions between the India and U.S. entities, including allocations, reconciliations, settlements, and elimination entries.
- Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, aging reports, collections, and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, approval verification, payment scheduling, employee reimbursements, and vendor reconciliation..
- Maintain accurate accounting for recurring revenue, customer contracts, commissions, partner payments, foreign-currency transactions, and revenue recognition.
- Manage Indian accounting and compliance requirements, including GST, TDS, statutory filings, audit schedules, and coordination with tax and regulatory advisers.
- Support U.S. accounting and compliance requirements under U.S. GAAP, including financial reporting, audit preparation, tax documentation, and coordination with U.S. accountants and tax advisers.
- Prepare audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation for internal reviews, statutory audits, tax filings, and external accountants.
- Establish and maintain internal controls for payments, approvals, expense reporting, vendor onboarding, customer billing, and access to financial systems.
- Investigate and correct missing entries, duplicate transactions, incorrect classifications, unreconciled balances, and other accounting discrepancies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing accounting for businesses operating in both India and the United States.
- Advanced, hands-on expertise using QuickBooks. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial models, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a comparable professional qualification.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, and foreign-currency transactions.
- Experience preparing financial statements, managing month-end close, and maintaining general-ledger accuracy.
- Experience managing accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, customer billing, and vendor payments.
- Experience designing or improving accounting systems, internal controls, approval workflows, and financial policies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently identify, investigate, and correct financial discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to executive leadership.
