Role Description The Accountant (UK) at Digi Numeric is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. The individual in this role will handle UK accounting and compliance tasks, including accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll processing, and support with corporate and individual tax computations. Daily responsibilities include posting and reconciling transactions, preparing management accounts, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring that financial records meet UK accounting and regulatory standards.

The role also involves working with cloud-based accounting systems,



collaborating with internal teams and UK clients, responding to queries, and assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant is expected to contribute to process improvements, maintain strong documentation, and support senior accountants and managers with reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

Strong UK accounting and bookkeeping skills, including accounts preparation, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and management accounts.

Experience with UK VAT, payroll, and basic taxation processes, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and deadlines. Proficiency in cloud-based accounting tools such as Quick Books Online, Xero, MYOB, Sage, Tally, SAP, Zoho Books, and familiarity with tax software like Tax Calc, Tax Filer, and CCH. Ability to analyze financial data, prepare clear reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict timelines. Robust written and verbal communication skills in English for working with international clients and cross-functional teams. Relevant professional qualification or progress toward CA, ACCA, CPA, or similar, with 2+ years of experience in UK accounting or outsourced accounting services.
