Full Job DescriptionAbout the Role

Pallavi International School, Sagar Road, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsible Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the school. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting procedures, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while ensuring timely and efficient completion of all accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
- Handle school fee collections, receipts, deposits, and daily cash transactions.
- Maintain cash book, ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Perform regular bank reconciliation and account reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and outstanding follow-ups.
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
- Handle staff salary-related accounting, reimbursements, and expense records.
- Process invoices, bills, purchase orders, and payment documentation.
- Monitor school expenses and ensure proper authorization and documentation.
- Assist with GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory compliance and maintain relevant records.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents during audits.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial statements for management review.
- Coordinate with parents, vendors, staff, and management regarding fee and payment-related matters.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding fees and maintain accurate fee records.
- Assist management with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and employee-related information.
- Support the school management with other finance and accounting activities as required.

Qualifications




- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience as an Accountant is required; experience in a school or educational institution is preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Tally/ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory requirements.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Skills Required

- Proficiency in Tally/ERP , Focus and MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger maintenance.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and taxation.

- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment.
