Account Manager responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. Account manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants and junior accountants
:
- Examining & evaluating financial systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure that records are accurate and controls are adequate to safeguard against fraud Misrepresentations
- Directing Preparation of financial reports that showcase & anticipate the organization's financial position
- Reviewing the actual figures, alleviate variances, and amend budgets if necessary
- Sustaining stringent control over outlay & periodic reconciliation to ensure proper employment of funds
- Coordinate, advise, and supervise the structuring of companies, better management through amalgamation, merger, and restructuring
- Administering maintenance of books of accounts,
inclusive of P&L; account balance sheet and trial balance with the finalization of year-end accounts
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on Management accountant
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
- Provide input into the departments goal-setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Plan, assign, and review staffs work support month-end and year-end close process
- Maintaining registers on Debtors, Creditors & expenses sheets as well as other statements for analysis of the profitability position
- Management of cash flow and distribution of funds
