Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Kochi.

The Academic

Counselor will meet with students and families to understand academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals, and provide guidance on suitable international programs and institutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, offering academic and career advising, explaining admission processes and requirements, and supporting students with documentation and application timelines. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with internal teams and partner institutions,



and participating in seminars or events to promote educational opportunities.

The Academic

Counselor is expected to stay updated on international education trends, admission criteria, and visa guidelines to offer informed and ethical advice.

Qualifications

- Robust student-focused skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising.
- Career-focused guidance abilities, including Career Counseling and understanding of Education pathways.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, overseas education consulting, or student services is preferred.
- Ability to build trust with students and families, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with online research and documentation tools.
