We are seeking a highly skilled Packet Core Support Engineer with strong expertise in 4G/5G core network elements. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of customer issues, deep troubleshooting of packet core nodes, and close collaboration with R&D; and system teams to deliver timely and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of Packet Core solutions in live customer networks.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues related to 4G/5G call flows, signaling, and data sessions.
- Work independently with R&D;, System Test (ST), and internal engineering teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Support and troubleshoot VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT, and other advanced telecom services.
- Engage directly with customers to drive issue resolution, provide technical explanations, and recommend solutions.
- Participate in on-site or remote customer support and travel as required by business needs.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Robust end-to-end understanding of Packet Core architecture and solutions.
- Deep knowledge of 4G LTE call flows and good understanding of 5G Core concepts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based EPC / 5GC deployments.
- Good understanding of cloud and virtualization technologies, including:
- Red Hat Open Stack (RHOS)
- Docker / Containers
- Kubernetes
- Deployment on Dell / HP hardware platforms
- Proficient in Linux-based systems (command line, logs, services, performance analysis).
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark and other protocol analyzers.
