Description

The Engineer II, Software is a developing qualified who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This role is of a developer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to produce quality applications. You'll apply practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry to maintain our OmniCenter Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Participate and assist in coordinating discussions and estimations required for product release planning
- Collaborate with software quality engineers in all phases of testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional team on documentation and training
- Assist with code reviews for fellow team members, as required
- Create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle
- Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products are used across the continuum of care




- Work with your team and Technical support to troubleshoot and resolve 4th level escalations in a timely and professional manner.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Proficient in Object oriented analysis, design, and programming
- Proficient in Using design and refactoring patterns
- Expertise in C#, .NET Framework, Angular, and SQL Server.
- Excellent understanding of relational databases and experience with database design.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills

Basic Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience building applications with object-oriented architecture.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

- Experience with FoxPro is preferred; however, candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro will also be considered
- 2+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework
- 2+ years of experience with a microservices architecture.
- 1+ year of experience in Angular 4 / above or React.
- 1+ year of public cloud experience(AWS or Azure).
