Job Description:
The Windchill Migration Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the migration of Windchill data and applications to a recent platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Windchill software, project management principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will ensure that the migration process is executed efficiently, on time, and meets the quality standards required by our clients. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, managing risks, and communicating updates to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Windchill migration program from inception through implementation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resources necessary for successful migration.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective execution of migration activities.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the migration process.
- Monitor project status and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate training sessions for stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and usage of migrated applications.
- Ensure all data integrity and security measures are adhered to throughout the migration process.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Extensive experience with PTC Windchill software and its architecture.
- Strong project management skills, with proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar applications.
- Familiarity with data migration strategies and best practices.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and application deployment processes.
- Skills in team leadership and resource management.
- Problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
