Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Workday Integration Developer with 5-7 years of overall IT experience and deep, hands-on expertise across the Workday integration technology stack. This role owns the design, build, testing, and support of complex Workday integrations spanning HCM, Payroll, Financials, and Talent, and partners closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and well-governed technical solutions. The ideal candidate combines Workday Studio, EIB fundamentals with Workday Extend application development and practical experience applying AI/automation capabilities within and outside the Workday ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support end-to-end Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Extend, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Build and maintain custom applications, orchestrations, and extensions on the Workday Extend platform, including custom business objects, APIs, and UI pages.
- Develop and support outbound/inbound integrations with third-party and downstream systems.
- Apply Workday AI/automation capabilities to streamline processes and enhance integration and reporting workflows.
- Write and optimize XSLT, XPath, Groovy, and Workday Custom Report-based transformations for complex data mapping requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot PECI and other payroll/financial interface protocols as needed.
- Build advanced calculated fields, custom reports, and RaaS endpoints for downstream consumption.
- Own integration security design, including integration system users, security groups, X.509 certificates, OAuth 2.0, and API access policies aligned to least-privilege principles.
- Lead technical design sessions, produce integration design documents, and review peer solutions for quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Monitor, tune,



and troubleshoot production integrations manage incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
- Partner with functional Workday teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Support Workday release cycles by assessing impact to integrations, Extend apps, and reports, and coordinating regression testing.
- Experience packaging and promoting Workday configuration/integrations across tenants.

Requirements:

- 5 - 6 years of overall IT experience, with at least 4 years focused specifically on Workday integration development.
- Minimum of 3 full lifecycle Workday implementations or major upgrade/support engagements as a technical integration lead or senior developer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Demonstrated experience building and supporting Workday Extend applications in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials data models and business processes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system integration issues under time pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical designs to both technical and functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning integrations.
- Exposure to Workday Journeys, Talent, or Greenhouse modules from an integration perspective.
- Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Prior experience in a regulated or security-conscious industry.
