Role Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Associate SAP ABAP Developer with 4 to 7 years of experience in SAP ABAP development. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads to develop, enhance, test, and support SAP applications.

The role is suitable for early-career SAP ABAP professionals who have a valuable understanding of basic ABAP concepts and are interested in building their skills in SAP S/4HANA migration and technical upgrade projects.

Mandatory Skills:

4 to 7 years of experience in SAP ABAP development

Basic understanding of SAP ABAP programming concepts

Experience in developing or modifying simple ABAP reports

Knowledge of Data Dictionary objects such as tables, structures, data elements, and domains

Basic experience with internal tables, work areas, function modules, and modularization techniques

Exposure to ALV reports, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, or Adobe Forms

RAP , Odata , Adobe form design experience

Basic knowledge of user exits, customer exits, BADIs, or enhancement techniques

Ability to perform debugging and identify basic program errors

Understanding of transport requests and SAP development processes

Ability to understand functional requirements and convert them into simple technical solutions

Good communication, analytical, and learning skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration or conversion projects

Exposure to SAP technical upgrade projects





Basic understanding of custom code remediation

Familiarity with ATC, Code Inspector, or Simplification Item checks

Awareness of performance improvement techniques

Experience working in support, implementation, rollout, or upgrade projects

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify simple SAP ABAP programs under the guidance of senior team members

Support the development of reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and data conversion programs

Perform unit testing and document test results

Debug ABAP programs and resolve basic technical issues

Support defect fixing and production support activities

Assist in custom code analysis and remediation during SAP S/4HANA migration or technical upgrades

Prepare basic technical specifications and development documentation

Follow project coding standards, naming conventions, and quality guidelines

Coordinate with functional consultants to understand requirements

Participate in code reviews and implement feedback provided by senior developers

Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and escalate issues when required

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should have a good foundation in SAP ABAP development and a willingness to learn. The candidate is not expected to work as a technical architect or independently manage complex developments.

The candidate should be comfortable working under guidance, asking relevant questions, following development standards, and gradually taking ownership of assigned technical tasks.
