Social Media Specialist (Content Creator)

Department: Marketing / Digital Marketing

Location: Hyderabad / On-site
Experience: 3–6 years
Reporting To: Content Manager / Marketing Manager

Role Overview

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing Digital Nest’s social media presence while actively creating content for platforms. This includes ideating, scripting, shooting, editing, and sometimes featuring in content such as reels, videos, and campaigns. The role requires a robust mix of creativity, on-camera confidence, and platform understanding to drive engagement and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
• Manage and grow platforms like Instagram, Linked In, You Tube, and others.
• Plan and execute structured content calendars.
• Schedule and publish posts consistently.
Content Creation (Core Responsibility)
• Ideate and create short-form and long-form content (reels, videos, posts).
• Script, shoot, and edit content independently or with the team.
• Feature in videos when required (explainers, reels, brand content).
• Experiment with formats, storytelling styles, and trends.Trend & Platform Strategy
• Stay updated with social media trends, algorithms, and viral formats.
• Identify and leverage trends relevant to the brand.
• Adapt content strategies based on platform performance.
Collaboration
• Work closely with designers, copywriters, and marketing teams.
• Align content with ongoing campaigns and brand messaging.
• Coordinate for shoots, creatives, and campaign deliverables.
Audience Engagement
• Respond to comments, DMs, and audience interactions.
• Build a strong online community and brand personality.
Performance & Optimization
• Track engagement, reach, and growth metrics.
• Analyze what content performs best and optimize accordingly.
• Continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.

• Strong content creation skills (video-first mindset)
• Basic video shooting and editing (mobile or tools)
• Creative storytelling and idea generation
• Social media platform expertise
Functional Skills
• Reels, short-form video, and trending formats
• Scriptwriting and content structuring
• Basic analytics and performance tracking
• Familiarity with editing tools (Cap Cut, Premiere Pro, etc.)
Soft Skills
• Confidence in front of the camera
• Creativity and adaptability
• Fast execution and trend responsiveness
• Strong communication and collaboration
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or related fields
• Certifications in social media or digital marketing are a plus
Experience
• 3–6 years in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
• Experience creating video content (portfolio required)
• Prior experience in startups, agencies, or creator-led roles preferred
