Position Description:

Job Title: Google Cloud Engineer / SRE

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Cloud Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 4+ years of overall experience, including at least 2 years of hands on experience managing production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and operating secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in GCP services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, cloud security, and SRE practices.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills

4+ years of total experience
Minimum 2+ years of hands on experience in Cloud Platform Engineering/SRE, preferably working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in production environments
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, GKE, and more.
Engineer and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud networking solutions within Google Cloud Platform, including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancing.
Proficient in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc to enable rapid, reliable, and automated software delivery.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operational tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve system efficiency.
Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and productive resource utilization.
Implement and manage robust security controls and secret management strategies to protect sensitive data and infrastructure in the cloud.
Collaborate with developers to containerize applications and streamline their deployment.
Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot performance, availability, or security issues.
Ensure system reliability and high availability through redundancy, backup strategies,



and proactive monitoring.
Champion and implement GitOps principles for continuous delivery, utilizing tools like Argo CD or Flux to manage application and infrastructure deployments.
Drive the adoption and implementation of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including defining and monitoring Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.
Lead incident response efforts for Google Cloud Platform environments, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to improve platform resilience.
Should have Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Cloud Engineer).
