Role Purpose

The Head of Risk will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the risk management framework of the Crypto Asset Trading Platform. The role will identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks arising from trading activities, market volatility, liquidity management, custody arrangements, operational processes, technology infrastructure, third-party relationships and new product offerings.

The position will provide independent risk oversight to senior management and the Board and support the organisation in operating within its approved risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide risk management framework, policies and procedures.
- Establish risk appetite statements, risk limits and key risk indicators.
- Monitor market, liquidity, operational, technology, custody and third-party risks.
- Conduct risk assessments, stress testing and scenario analysis.




- Review and provide risk input on new products, services and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor significant risk events, control weaknesses and emerging risks, and ensure timely escalation.
- Oversee risk reporting to senior management and the Board, including risk dashboards and key metrics.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology and Security functions to strengthen risk management practices.
- Support regulatory engagements and ensure alignment with applicable regulatory and industry expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Technology or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 8 years experience in risk management, financial services, fintech, capital markets or digital asset businesses.
- Strong understanding of trading platforms, market dynamics and risk governance frameworks.

Independence

The Head of Risk shall operate independently of revenue-generating functions and shall have direct access to senior management and the Board or relevant Board Committee for the escalation of material risk matters.
