Simpsons employs about 1000 engineering and management personnel at its contemporary manufacturing facilities located in Chennai and Kumbakonam. These plants with their state of the art equipment manufacture Currently manufacture more than 1,75,000 diesel engines a year for nearly 200 applications catering to domestic as well as export markets.
- Develop and achieve sales targets for diesel engines in the industrial segment.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop potential OEMs, industrial customers and channelpartners.
- Manage existing customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable diesel engine applications.
- Generate enquiries, prepare commercial proposals and coordinate with internal teams for order closure.
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations and technical/commercial discussions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Service, Production and Commercial teams for smooth execution ofcustomer requirements.
- Support new product introduction and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
BE / BTech - Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engg
Required Skills
- 10–13 years of experience in B2B Sales / Business Development / Industrial Sales.
- Experience in Diesel Engines, Automotive, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment, PowerGeneration, Construction Equipment or related industries preferred.
- Strong exposure to OEM sales, industrial customers and business development.
- Positive communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits.
- Good understanding of industrial applications and engine requirements.
