PROPOSAL ENGINEER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Proposal Engineer

Experience:1.5+Years

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, analyzing customer requirements, coordinating with engineering and sales teams, and ensuring timely submission of accurate and competitive bids.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review RFQs, tenders, specifications, and customer requirements.

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, quotations, and pricing calculations.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and sales teams.

• Prepare technical compliance statements and deviation lists.

• Analyze tender documents, drawings, and scope of work.

• Coordinate with customers and vendors for technical clarifications.

• Ensure proposals are accurate and submitted within deadlines.

• Maintain quotation records, costing databases, and proposal trackers.





• Support sales teams during negotiations and technical discussions.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and customer presentations when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

• Experience in proposal engineering, estimation, tendering, or technical sales.

• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience in EPC projects, industrial equipment, automation, MEP, or engineering products.

• Knowledge of tendering and contract requirements.

• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.

• Solid commercial and costing knowledge.

• Ability to manage multiple proposals and meet tight deadlines.
