Assistant Manager - Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead automation design, development, and commissioning activities.

• Manage and mentor a team of Automation Engineers and Service Engineers for

project execution and customer support.

• Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Motion Control

applications.

• Ensure machine automation systems comply with 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and

pharmaceutical validation requirements.

• Support qualification activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT, and SAT documentation.

• Develop audit trails, electronic records, electronic signatures, user access

management, and data integrity features.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Validation, and Production teams for

successful project delivery.

• Interface with customers during design reviews, FAT, commissioning, and

validation activities.

• Drive standardization of software architecture,



coding practices, and

documentation.

• Support global installations and site commissioning activities.

Technical Skills Required

• Hands-on experience in PLC programming: Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens, Allen

Bradley, Mitsubishi PLC, Omron PLC, Schneider PLC

• Robust knowledge of: Structured Text (ST), Function Block (FB), Motion Control &

Servo Systems

• SCADA/HMI Development: WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware / AVEVA, FactoryTalk

View, TwinCAT HMI

• Database Integration: MS SQL Server, MySQL,, MS Access

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or

Mechatronics Engineering.

• 8-12 years of experience in pharma machine manufacturing or industrial

automation.
