Job Profile / Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting activities, including asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, disposals, and asset master data maintenance.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
- Execute and monitor depreciation runs, performs depreciation analysis, and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Review, monitor, and manage Capital Work in Progress (CIP) projects, including CIP aging, capitalization readiness assessment, and CIP reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Finance Business Partners, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams to obtain asset in-service dates and support timely capitalization of assets.
- Process Intercompany and Intracompany Asset Transfers and ensures proper accounting treatment and documentation.
- Manage asset retirement, disposal, write-off activities, and calculate gains/losses on disposals.
- Prepare and post fixed asset accruals, depreciation accruals, reclassification entries, and other month-end journal entries.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and perform subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of records.
- Review asset master data, including useful life, asset class, location, and cost center assignments, and process necessary updates.
- Support physical asset verification, asset tagging processes, and maintenance of asset-related documentation and records.
- Analyze expense coding and capitalization eligibility, and process OPEX-to-CIP or CIP-to-OPEX reclassification entries where required
- Support Internal and External Audits by preparing audit schedules, providing supporting documentation, and responding to audit queries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and applicable accounting standards related to fixed assets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization within the Fixed Asset Accounting function and support system enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and provide timely resolution to fixed asset, invoice, purchase orders, and accounting-related queries.
- Ensure timely completion of reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Solid understanding of Fixed Asset accounting principles and related processes.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage ad hoc accounting queries and stakeholder requests.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Business teams
