Description
The Head of Procurement (Wind) will be a key member of the Projects department, responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for wind energy initiatives. This role demands a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of the wind energy sector to optimize sourcing and contracting processes, ensuring timely and successful project completion.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for wind energy projects, including sourcing, contracting, and supply chain management.
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans aligned with project requirements and company goals.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks in procurement activities.
- Manage and optimize the supply chain to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with project needs.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Implement procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present procurement reports,



budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
- Mentor and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in leading complex procurement initiatives and negotiating high-value contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of wind energy sector dynamics and market trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for contract management and supplier evaluation.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
- Willingness to travel as required for project-related activities.
