Position Description:
We are seeking a Scrum Master with strong expertise in Agile methodologies, project management, and hands‑on experience with JIRA. The role involves facilitating daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and ensuring smooth delivery across teams. You will drive adoption of Agile practices, foster collaboration, and promote transparency using Scrum and Kanban frameworks. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills are essential. Prior experience in guiding teams toward continuous improvement and successful project outcomes will be highly valued.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Agile Delivery Leadership: Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) across multiple engineering teams.
Governance & Regulatory Alignment: Partner with Compliance, Risk, Information Security, and Audit teams to ensure software deliverables satisfy regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, KYC/AML, Open Banking, SOX).
Dependency & Impediment Management: Proactively identify, track, and eliminate complex blockers across core banking systems, legacy platforms, and third-party integrations.
Product Owner Collaboration: Guide Product Owners in enterprise epic breakdown, value-stream mapping, backlog health, and technical dependency mapping.
Agile Coaching & Metrics: Coach development teams and business partners on Agile maturity, using metrics (Velocity, Cumulative Flow, Burndown, Cycle Time) to drive predictable delivery.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience: 6 to 8 years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master within retail, commercial, or investment banking software development environments.
Certifications: Advanced Agile certification required (e.g., PSM II, A-CSM, Protected Advanced Scrum Master,
or PMI-ACP).
Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of modern banking architectures (REST APIs, microservices), digital payment rails, core banking platforms, or mobile banking applications.
Technical SDLC Knowledge: Proven background working alongside engineering teams through modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding frameworks.
Tooling Mastery: Expert-level capability in Jira, Confluence, and enterprise roadmapping tools (e.g., Jira Align, Miro).
