- Provide unified leadership across all medical and allied clinical services.

- Provide medical leadership and oversight to key committees, including:

- Credential & Privilege (C&P;) Committee

- Cardio-Radiological & Clinico-Pathological Meetings
- Ensure decisions translate into practice change, not just minutes.
- Lead corrective actions based on infection trends, ICU performance, and adverse events.
- Ensure committee deliberations translate into policy, practice change, and measurable improvement.
- Clinical Outcomes & Quality Performance
- Define, track, and review clinical outcome metrics across oncology and allied specialties:
- Survival & response indicators (where applicable)
- HAI rates, antimicrobial usage patterns, resistance trends
- ICU outcomes (mortality, LOS, ventilator-associated events)
- Complication and toxicity trends
- Infection, transfusion, and medication outcomes
- Lead corrective actions and improvement plans based on outcomes data.
- Clinical Pharmacology Oversight
- Ensure integration of Clinical Pharmacology into treatment planning.
- Support rational drug use, protocol adherence, dose optimization, and safety.
- Coordinate with PTC for formulary decisions and protocol updates.




- Family Meetings & Care Communication
- Establish structured Family Meeting frameworks for complex oncology cases.
- Ensure coordinated participation of treating teams, nursing, psycho-oncology, and support services.
- Provide medical leadership to the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (AMSP).
- Guide formulary control and antimicrobial restriction policies.
- Uphold transparency, empathy, and ethical communication in decision-making.
- Visiting Consultant & Full-time Faculty Management
- Oversee onboarding, credentialing, privileging, and performance review of:
- Visiting Consultants
- Full time and empanelled doctors
- Outsourced full-time consultants
- Define scope of practice, coverage models, and accountability mechanisms.
- Address professional conduct, performance gaps, and clinical conflicts.
- Operation Theatre (OT) Clinical Governance
- Provide clinical governance for Operation Theatre services, including:
- OT utilization, scheduling, and case prioritization
- Surgical safety practices and checklist compliance
- Infection prevention and asepsis in OT
- Address surgeon-related workflow conflicts and ensure optimal use of OT resources
- Coordinate with anesthesia, nursing, CSSD, and biomedical teams
- ICU & Critical Care Oversight
- Provide medical leadership for ICU and critical care services.
- Ensure:
- Appropriate admission, triage, and escalation protocols
- Multidisciplinary ICU rounds and care planning
- Alignment of ICU practices with oncology and transplant needs




- Review ICU outcomes, mortality trends, and critical incidents.
- Medical & Paramedical Recruitment
- Actively participate in recruitment of:
- Doctors (all specialties)
- Paramedical and allied clinical professionals
- Define role expectations, skill requirements, and onboarding standards.
- Support retention and professional growth strategies.
- Biomedical Engineering & Clinical Equipment Oversight
- Lead and own the clinical evaluation and justification of all medical Capex, including:
- Oncology equipment (LINACs, brachytherapy, imaging, infusion systems, BMT infrastructure)
- Diagnostic platforms (Radiology, Laboratory, Pathology, Blood Centre)
- ICU, OT, dialysis, transplant, and specialty clinical equipment
- Work closely with Biomedical Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Leadership to:
- Define clinical specifications
- Validate technology suitability for oncology and tertiary care
- Ensure alignment with service line strategy and patient outcomes
- Participate in annual and long-term Capex planning for:
- New service lines
- Capacity expansion
- Technology refresh cycles
- Clinical urgency
- Oncology program growth

Qualifications

MBBS with MHA or MBA in Hospital Management

Must have skills

- Strong Clinical Governance & Medical Leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of Hospital Quality, Patient Safety & Clinical Outcomes
- Experience in ICU, OT and Critical Care clinical oversight
- Strong Clinical Risk Management and Incident Review capabilities
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and conflict-resolution skills

Good to have skills

- Knowledge of NABH, JCI and other healthcare accreditation standards
- Experience in hospital policy development and clinical protocol standardization
- Strong presentation, documentation and report-writing skills
