- Perform heating and cooling load calculations using HAP or Trane TRACE.
- Select and schedule AHUs, RTUs, FCUs, VRF systems, chillers, boilers, pumps and ventilation equipment.
- Design and size ductwork and hydronic piping as per SMACNA and ASHRAE standards.
- Design ventilation systems as per ASHRAE 62.1 and verify thermal comfort requirements under ASHRAE 55.
- Prepare energy code compliance documentation using ASHRAE 90.1, IECC and Com Check; Energy Pro experience is an advantage.
- Develop controls sequences of operation and points lists in coordination with the US team.
- Produce complete construction documents in Revit MEP across SD, DD, CD and CA phases.
- Coordinate HVAC systems with electrical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines using Navisworks/BIM coordination.
- Prepare project-specific mechanical specifications under Master Format Division 23.
- Manage RFIs, plan-check/AHJ comments, submittals, substitutions and construction administration.
- Coordinate with US engineers, equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives.
- Support change orders, punch lists and constructability reviews.
Qualifications
- B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory.
- Mid-Level: 4 7 years of HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting/design firm.
- Senior: 8+ years of relevant HVAC design experience, preferably including 2+ years leading a discipline team or acting as a senior reviewer.
- Revit MEP is mandatory with the ability to model HVAC systems from scratch and produce coordinated, issue-ready drawings.
- Robust knowledge of US mechanical and energy codes.
- US or international project experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with California, Florida, Georgia or New York codes is an added advantage.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work during US business-hour overlap.
- ISHRAE/ASHRAE certification or HVAC-focused certification is an added advantage.
