Job Description – Java Backend Lead / Senior Architect
Experience: 12–15 Years
Location-Bengaluru

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Lead/Architect with 12–15 years of hands on experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise backend applications. The candidate should have robust expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, cloud technologies, databases, and distributed systems, along with proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design and develop scalable, secure, and high performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
. Architect and implement microservices based solutions and RESTful APIs.
. Lead technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and implementation of complex features.
. Develop highly available and fault tolerant distributed applications.
. Integrate backend services with databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.
. Drive modernization of legacy applications toward microservices and cloud native architectures.
.



Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
. Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root cause analysis.
. Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, security practices, and engineering best practices.
. Mentor senior/junior developers and provide technical guidance across the team.
. Contribute to CI/CD automation, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery.

Mandatory Technical Skills

. Java 8/11/17+
. Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
. Microservices Architecture
. RESTful Web Services / API Design
. Hibernate / JPA
. SQL and relational databases – Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL
. Kafka / messaging technologies
. Multithreading, concurrency, collections, JVM concepts
. Design Patterns and SOLID principles
. Git, Maven/Gradle
. JUnit, Mockito and unit/integration testing
. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Cloud & DevOps
Hands on experience with one or more cloud platforms:

. AWS / Azure / GCP
. Containerization using Docker
. Kubernetes/OpenShift
. CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
. Monitoring and logging using tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus
