Job Summary

Lamppost Digital is looking for a WordPress Developer with at least one year of hands-on experience in building clean, responsive and professional business websites.

This is not a trainee position. The selected candidate should be able to understand a website brief, plan the page structure and independently develop WordPress websites using Elementor.

Candidates from Tiruchirappalli and nearby locations are preferred. Candidates willing to relocate to Trichy before joining may also apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop WordPress websites using Elementor.
- Build professional headers, footers, homepages, service pages, landing pages and contact pages.
- Convert approved designs, references or content into responsive web pages.
- Maintain proper spacing, typography, colours, alignment and visual consistency.
- Select, configure and customise suitable WordPress themes and plugins.
- Create responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Configure contact forms, WhatsApp buttons, maps and other basic integrations.
- Maintain and update existing client websites.
- Troubleshoot WordPress, Elementor, theme and plugin-related issues.
- Handle basic website migration, backups, SSL and hosting-related tasks.
- Perform basic speed, security and on-page SEO checks.
- Test website functionality and responsiveness before submission.
- Complete assigned work within the agreed timeline and provide proper progress updates.

Required Skills

- Minimum one year of practical WordPress development experience.
- Robust working knowledge of WordPress and Elementor.
- Good understanding of responsive design and UI/UX fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.




- Ability to build a website independently from a brief or reference.
- Experience in theme and plugin setup and customisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot common WordPress and Elementor issues.
- Good attention to detail in spacing, alignment, typography and consistency.
- Ability to manage tasks responsibly and meet delivery timelines.

Added Advantages

- Experience with Elementor Pro.
- WooCommerce website development.
- Ability to convert Figma or design references into WordPress pages.
- Basic JavaScript or PHP knowledge.
- Familiarity with cPanel, domains, hosting, email configuration and website migration.
- Experience with performance optimisation, Google Analytics and basic technical SEO.
- Previous experience working in a digital agency.

Candidate Requirements

- Must be available for full-time, in-office work at Thillai Nagar, Trichy.
- Must have completed at least one year of relevant WordPress work.
- A portfolio or links to live websites developed by the candidate are mandatory.
- Freshers or candidates with only course knowledge and no practical website experience may not be suitable for this opening.
- Candidates should be ready to complete a short practical assessment as part of the selection process.

Work Schedule

- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Working Saturdays, when scheduled: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
