About the Role

We are looking for a Video Editor who can transform raw footage, interviews, shoots and creative assets into engaging, high-quality digital videos. The role will involve editing both short-form and long-form content for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other digital video platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, visual aesthetics and platform-specific content formats, along with a keen understanding of entertainment and digital trends.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing

- Edit short-form and long-form videos for digital and social media platforms.
- Edit interviews, celebrity content, entertainment stories, features, shows and original video formats.
- Create engaging Reels, Shorts and other vertical video formats.
- Ensure strong storytelling, pacing, transitions and visual continuity.
- Select appropriate footage, music, graphics, sound effects and supporting visuals.

Social-First Content

- Create platform-specific edits optimised for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
- Adapt long-form content into multiple short-form and social-first assets.




- Understand audience behaviour, trends and content formats across platforms.
- Create attention-grabbing openings and edits that encourage viewer retention.

Creative & Post-Production

- Work with producers, anchors, content teams and social media teams to understand creative requirements.
- Add motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, captions, transitions and other visual elements.
- Perform basic colour correction, audio enhancement and sound mixing.
- Maintain consistency in visual quality and Pinkvilla's content standards.
- Ensure videos are delivered within agreed timelines.

Content & Trend Awareness

- Stay updated with social media trends, Identify editing styles, formats and techniques that can improve audience engagement.
- Experiment with new editing approaches, formats and storytelling techniques.

Collaboration & Ownership

- Work closely with Producers, Anchors, Content, Social Media and Design teams.
- Take ownership of projects from raw footage to final delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Incorporate feedback quickly and effectively.

Key Requirements

- 3–6 years of experience in video editing, preferably in digital media, entertainment, OTT, YouTube or social media.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and/or other editing and motion graphics tools.
- Strong understanding of short-form and long-form video editing.
- Good understanding of social media video formats and aspect ratios.
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music and visual composition.
- Ability to work with raw footage and create compelling narratives.
- Positive understanding of audio, colour correction and basic post-production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
