Location: Nagpur, 5 days onsite (No Hybrid or Remote option).

Shift Time: EST Shift (06.30 PM to 03.30 AM IST) - Consultant needs to be flexible to work in different shifts, but primarily in the US EST time zone.

Job Summary:

/n

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP landscape administration, system refreshes, cloud migrations, database administration, and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day SAP Basis operations, SAP system lifecycle management, cloud migration projects, database administration (Oracle and SAP HANA), and support for critical SAP integration components, including BW and SLT.

The consultant will work closely with infrastructure, database, cloud, and application teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing SAP environments.

/n

Key Responsibilities:

/n

SAP Basis Administration & Operations:

/n

/n

- Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration activities across SAP landscapes.

/n

- Monitor and maintain SAP systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

/n

- Manage SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementations, and system patching.

/n

- Administer SAP transport management (TMS) and change management processes.

/n

- Troubleshoot SAP application, database, and operating system issues.

/n

- Manage SAP user administration, background jobs, spool management, and system health monitoring.

/n

- Support incident, problem, and change management activities.

/n

/n

SAP System Refreshes & Client Administration:

/n

/n

- Perform SAP system copies, client copies, and system refresh activities across Development, QA, Sandbox, and Production environments.

/n

- Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system refreshes.

/n

- Perform post-refresh activities including logical system updates, RFC reconfiguration, printer setup, and interface validation.

/n

- Develop and maintain system refresh runbooks and automation procedures.

/n

/n

SAP Cloud Migration & Infrastructure:

/n

/n





- Participate in SAP Lift-and-Shift migrations from on-premises environments to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

/n

- Support SAP migration tools such as SWPM, SUM, DMO, and migration factory methodologies.

/n

- Execute SAP server migration, database migration, and cloud provisioning activities.

/n

- Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams for architecture design, sizing, HA/DR configuration, and performance optimization.

/n

- Support cloud-native SAP operations and monitoring.

/n

/n

SAP BW & SLT Administration:

/n

/n

- Administer SAP BW systems and support BW integration activities.

/n

- Configure and troubleshoot SAP BW source system connections.

/n

- Support SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) replication environments.

/n

- Monitor data replication jobs and resolve replication performance issues.

/n

- Coordinate with functional and data teams during data migration and integration activities.

/n

/n

Database Administration:

/n

/n

- Perform Oracle database administration activities for SAP systems.

/n

- Execute database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and space management.

/n

- Administer SAP HANA databases including:

/n

- Installation and upgrades

/n

- HANA system replication

/n

- Backup and recovery

/n

- Performance monitoring and tuning

/n

- HANA security administration

/n

- Tenant database management

/n

- Monitor database health and proactively address performance bottlenecks.

/n

/n

SAP Upgrades & Technical Projects:

/n

/n

- Support SAP upgrade, enhancement package, and migration projects.

/n

- Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.

/n

- Execute Unicode conversions and database migrations.

/n

- Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, and migration procedures.

/n

/n

High Availability & Disaster Recovery:

/n

/n

- Support SAP HA/DR solutions.

/n

- Configure and monitor HANA System Replication.

/n

- Support Oracle Data Guard environments.

/n





- Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.

/n

/n

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

/n

- 7–8 years of SAP Basis administration experience.

/n

- Minimum 2 years of SAP cloud migration experience.

/n

- Strong experience with Oracle and SAP HANA databases.

/n

- Experience supporting ECC, PI, GTS, BW and SLT environments.

/n

- Experience performing multiple SAP system refreshes and migration projects.

/n

- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

/n

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP System Administration.

/n

- SAP HANA Administration Certification.

/n

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SAP Specialty, Azure Administrator, or equivalent cloud certification.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
