Northloom Global is a garment development and manufacturing company based in Pune, working with fashion brands and designers across India and international markets.

We support clients across product development, from concept interpretation, sourcing and sampling to production and manufacturing.

/n

We are currently looking for a Fashion Designer – Design & Product Development to join our growing team.

/n

Role Overview :

/n

This is a hands-on role for someone who can translate client briefs, references and design concepts into technically feasible garments and guide them through the sampling and development process.

/n

Key Responsibilities :

/n

/n

- Interpret client briefs, reference images, sketches and tech packs

/n

- Assist with garment design and product development

/n

- Prepare technical drawings, specifications and tech packs where required

/n

- Coordinate sampling and pattern development with masters and the production team

/n

- Source fabrics, trims, embellishments and garment components

/n

- Coordinate with fabric suppliers, vendors and external job workers

/n

- Oversee sample development, fittings, corrections and finalisation

/n

- Identify garment construction and production challenges and work on practical solutions

/n

- Maintain sampling and product-development records

/n

- Manage multiple client developments and timelines simultaneously

/n





- Assist in transitioning approved samples into production

/n

/n

What We're Looking For :

/n

/n

- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design or a related discipline.

/n

- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics and manufacturing

/n

- Practical exposure to sampling and product development

/n

- Ability to understand technical drawings, sketches and garment references

/n

- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW or similar software

/n

- Strong attention to detail and execution

/n

- Valuable communication and coordination skills

/n

- Comfortable working closely with masters, karigars, vendors and suppliers

/n

/n

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with a fashion brand, export house, buying house or garment manufacturing unit is required.

/n

Knowledge of embroidery, surface development, textiles, merchandising or fabric development would be an added advantage.

/n
