The Data Migration specialist role supports the Data Management function along with enterprise data transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing data migration tasks ensuring data integrity and supporting the ongoing management of enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale data systems legacy-to-modern platform migrations and data governance frameworks

Analyze source and target systems to develop migration strategies

Develop automated scripts and workflows to support repeatable and auditable migration ETLVR processes using Azure Data Factory Synapse Pipelines or similar tools

Monitor and troubleshoot data migration jobs resolving issues in a timely manner

Perform data profiling cleansing validation and reconciliation to ensure data integrity during migrations

Strong process orientation. Very familiar with core product management lifecycle and engineering systems processes how they are reflected in core information systems

Qualifications :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Engineering or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Strong SQL skills

Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks (e.g. Informatica Talend Azure Data Factory)

Experience

4 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on data migration and data management

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and modern data architectures (e.g. data lakes lakehouses)

Familiarity with data governance data quality and MDM

3 years experience with D365 AX09 AX12 BlueStar

2 years experience with Engineering Data and BOMs
