JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Portfolio Strategy in India will be execute portfolio management and reporting processes for the BREDS portfolio. The portfolio spans across Opportunistic Core and Core capital sources for commercial and residential real estate debt in public and private markets. This role is an exciting opportunity to work across all BREDS strategies and is essential in providing insights that support the broader business. The role will produce recurring deliverables drive process efficiencies and leverage technology to deliver effective portfolio strategies.
WHAT YOULL DO
Portfolio Reporting
- Responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive reports and insights for the Brio and BREDS executive team and external clients focusing on portfolio performance activity and composition
- Creation of presentations and other deliverables for internal and external meetings
- Work with broader Brio team and BREDS Portfolio Management to gather coordinate and synthesize data and analytics ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Work in partnership with Brio asset management and other teams to oversee /manage credit positions within funds with a focus on ensuring a consistent global approach to strategy analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with all internal stakeholders develop insightful value-add analysis on the portfolio and ensure comprehensive understanding of strategies and underlying assets is shared
Key Priorities / Focus Areas
- Create and maintain tools to support the oversight of portfolio performance and drive accretive decision making to both enhance fund returns and mitigate risk
- Create dynamic models able to run impacts to portfolios with various sensitivities to determine optimal returns for outperformance
- Participate in business plan reviews and create portfolio-based reporting materials
- Calculate and maintain key position metrics including DSCR and other key loan metrics
- Help to benchmark internal and external portfolio performance
- Participate in data governance and help to implement AI tooling
Process Improvements / Infrastructure Uplifts
- Document business requirements for reporting and process changes ensuring clarity and alignment across business areas and reducing redundancies
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and enhance existing processes and operations
- Evaluate technology solutions to automate reporting processes and enhance data accuracy
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure integration of new tools and systems
WHAT YOULL BRING
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting STEM or related field; CA and / or CFA a plus
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with SQL VBA or any programming language preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analytics portfolio management and business strategy at an asset management firm private equity firm lender owner / operator servicer rating agency Big 4 investment bank or broker is preferred
- Solid analytical skills with demonstrable experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative research
- Extensive experience managing teams or resources particularly in a remote or offshore setting; set prioritization for the team
- Experience in developing board presentations and reports for senior leadership
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing technology solutions
- Excellent in clear and effective communications with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Motivated to excel in a collaborative fast-paced environment working with competing deadlines
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word products
- Robust attention to detail
