Job Summary

Unikraft Techno is looking for a Quality Engineer – Incoming Quality / Supplier Material Inspection to ensure that all incoming materials, components, fabricated parts, and assemblies received from suppliers meet the required quality standards before being released to production.

The candidate will be responsible for incoming inspection, supplier quality management, non-conformance handling, quality documentation, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming Material Inspection

- Perform inspection of incoming raw materials, fabricated parts, machined components, and bought-out components as per inspection plans and specifications.
- Verify dimensions, appearance, surface finish, coating thickness, and functional requirements.
- Inspect materials using appropriate measuring and inspection instruments.
- Review supplier MTC, COC, test certificates, inspection reports, and other quality documents.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of incoming materials.

2. Supplier Quality Management

- Monitor supplier quality performance, rejection levels, and recurring quality issues.
- Conduct supplier inspections and support supplier quality improvement activities.
- Raise Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) for non-conforming materials.
- Follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely closure of quality issues.

3. Non-Conformance Management

- Identify, document,



and segregate rejected/non-conforming materials.
- Prepare and maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) records.
- Coordinate containment actions to prevent defective material from reaching production.
- Follow up on disposition and corrective actions for rejected materials.
- Monitor recurring defects and support preventive actions.

4. Quality Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare and maintain incoming/PDI inspection reports and quality records.
- Maintain inspection data and supplier quality records.
- Update quality databases and inspection status.
- Prepare periodic/monthly quality reports related to incoming material and supplier performance.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability of inspection activities.

5. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and other quality tools.
- Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze rejection and defect trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in supplier development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support reduction of incoming rejection, rework, and production-related quality issues.

6. Audit & Compliance

- Support supplier audits and internal quality audits.
- Verify the calibration status of measuring and inspection instruments.
- Ensure inspection activities are carried out as per defined procedures and quality standards.




- Maintain required quality records for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Incoming Quality Inspection / Supplier Quality.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Measuring Tape
- CMM knowledge will be an advantage
- Ability to understand inspection plans, specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of NCR, SCAR, 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and quality reporting.
- Good communication and supplier coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Incoming Quality, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Inspection preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, automobile, or engineering industries will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and confident in dealing with suppliers. The candidate should have strong inspection skills and the ability to identify quality issues, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure that only conforming materials are released to production.
