Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on flour milling qualified who understands wheat, chakki atta production and the day-to-day operation of a wheat flour mill.

This is not a general manufacturing or production manager role. We are specifically looking for someone with experience in wheat flour milling / chakki atta production who can independently manage, troubleshoot and improve flour mill operations.

What you will be responsible for

n

- Manage day-to-day chakki atta / wheat flour production
n
- Monitor the complete milling process from wheat intake and cleaning to conditioning, milling and finished flour
n
- Set and optimise milling parameters to achieve the required flour quality, extraction/yield and production capacity
n
- Monitor wheat and flour characteristics such as moisture, ash, granulation, gluten and flour consistency
n
- Identify reasons for variation in flour quality, yield or throughput and take corrective action
n
- Optimise machine settings, process flow and operating practices to improve capacity, flour quality and efficiency
n
- Monitor production losses, wastage, downtime and energy consumption
n
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of chakki flour milling equipment
n
- Train and supervise operators and production staff
n
- Maintain production, quality and process records
n




- Work with management and technical teams on continuous improvement of the milling process
n

Who we are looking for

n

You should have practical experience in wheat flour milling.

n

Preference will be given to candidates with:

n

n
- Qualification/training in Flour Milling Technology / Milling Technology
n
- Hands-on experience operating or managing a chakki atta plant, wheat flour mill or roller flour mill
n
- Strong understanding of:
n
- Wheat cleaning and conditioning
n
- Wheat tempering / moisture management
n
- Chakki milling
n
- Flour extraction and yield
n
- Flour quality parameters
n
- Milling optimisation
n
- Production planning
n
- Troubleshooting milling-process problems
n
- Training from the International School of Milling Technology (ISMT), Mysore, or another recognised milling institute is preferred

Important

n

This position requires actual flour milling knowledge. Candidates whose experience is only in general manufacturing, steel, automotive, fabrication or unrelated production industries will not be suitable for this role.

- We are looking for someone who can look at a wheat sample, production data and flour output and understand what needs to change in the milling process to achieve better atta.
