About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to support the developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs of young children at Amiown. The role involves working closely with children, teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote children's overall development and participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on children's requirements.
- Provide interventions to improve fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, handwriting readiness, and activities of daily living.
- Observe children in classroom and school environments and recommend appropriate strategies and accommodations.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and provide practical strategies for home support.
- Maintain accurate assessment, intervention, and progress records.




- Monitor children's development and modify therapy plans as required.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), where applicable.
- Conduct awareness sessions or workshops for teachers and parents on developmental and sensory needs.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) from a recognised institution.
- Relevant professional registration/certification as applicable.
- Prior experience working with children, preschoolers, or in a school/paediatric setting will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, sensory integration, and paediatric occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and child-friendly approach.
