A bar manager's responsibilities include:
Inventory management: Ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and working with distributors to decide what alcohol to keep in stock.
Staff training: Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff. They also introduce recent staff to their work areas and the rules and regulations.
Customer service: Interacting with patrons, learning their names and drink preferences, and handling customer complaints or questions.
Communication: Communicating efficiently with team members, senior management, customers, and vendors.
Alcohol regulations: Keeping track of liquor licenses and ensuring that staff are abiding by local laws and alcohol distribution restrictions.
Leadership: Overseeing, hiring, and training staff.
Building relationships:



Building relationships with regulars, who provide revenue and bring in new business.
Creating employee schedules: Creating employee schedules based on expected customer numbers.
Advertising promotions: Advertising the bar's daily, weekly, and monthly promotions.
Managing customer feedback: Using customer feedback to create current policies and standards.
