Company: HanaV

Function: Engineering / Design

Industry: Precision Manufacturing | Aerospace | Industrial Engineering

About HanaVHanaV is a precision manufacturing company serving demanding engineering applications across aerospace and industrial sectors. We work on complex, high-precision components and assemblies where engineering understanding, manufacturability, quality and execution are critical.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who combines solid CAD skills with a practical understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.

This is not just a CAD modelling role. We are looking for someone who can understand how a component is designed, how it will be manufactured, and how it will be inspected.

Key Responsibilities

- Create accurate 3D CAD models, components and assemblies based on customer requirements, drawings, concepts and engineering inputs.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finish and manufacturing information.
- Interpret complex customer drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
- Apply sound understanding of:
- GD&T;
- Fits and tolerances
- Datum structures
- Tolerance stack-ups
- Surface finish requirements
- Engineering materials
- Understand the functional intent of components and translate it into practical engineering designs.
- Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews considering machining, fabrication, assembly and inspection feasibility.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, suppliers and quality teams to resolve drawing and manufacturing issues.
- Support development of fixtures, tooling and manufacturing aids where required.
- Participate in engineering discussions with customers and suppliers.
- Review drawings for completeness, manufacturability and inspection feasibility before release.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, drawing revisions and engineering documentation.
- Support engineering changes and maintain proper revision control.
- Troubleshoot dimensional,

assembly and manufacturing issues during component development.
- Continuously improve designs to reduce manufacturing complexity, cost and lead time without compromising functional requirements.

Technical Skills Candidates should have a strong understanding of:
- 3D CAD modelling and assemblies
- 2D engineering/manufacturing drawings
- GD&T; and engineering tolerances
- Fits, clearances and tolerance stack-up
- Machining processes such as CNC milling, turning, drilling and grinding
- Basic understanding of sheet metal/fabrication processes
- Engineering materials and their applications
- Surface treatments and finishing processes
- Measurement and inspection methods
- DFM/DFA principles

Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or similar professional CAD software is acceptable. Strong engineering fundamentals are more important to us than expertise in one particular CAD package.

Who We're Looking For

We would particularly value someone who:

- Doesn't just model a component, but asks “How will this be manufactured?”
- Can read and understand a complex engineering drawing independently.
- Has strong visualization and problem-solving ability.
- Understands why a tolerance has been specified rather than simply reproducing it.
- Can communicate effectively with manufacturing and quality teams.
- Is comfortable taking ownership of engineering problems.
- Has a practical, hands-on approach to mechanical engineering.

Preferred Background
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, industrial equipment, machine building, automation, semiconductor equipment or similar engineering industries preferred.
- Prior exposure to CNC-machined components and precision assemblies will be an advantage.

What Success Looks Like
- A successful Design Engineer at HanaV should be able to take an engineering requirement from concept/drawing → CAD model → manufacturing drawing → DFM review → manufacturing support → final component, while maintaining strong engineering discipline throughout the process.
