Senior Network Engineer – IT Operations & Infrastructure
Purpose of Role:
Provide L3 ownership for network infrastructure, including incident escalations, troubleshooting, routing, switching, security hardening and firmware upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
L3 troubleshooting for Cisco & Fortinet based networks, prepare RCA for major incidents, support service restoration.
VLAN, routing (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), firewall (Fortinet Policy & Rule Mgmt) and VPN (IPSec / SSL) administration.
Security: firewall rule reviews, segmentation, vulnerability remediation and PT remediation.
Upgrades & migrations: perform device firmware upgrades (IOS, NX-OS), network migration activities, and technology refresh projects.
Monitoring: review escalations from L1 monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds), perform network event analysis and capacity trend forecasting.
Documentation: maintain configuration documents, update HLD/LLD and operational runbooks/SOP.
Required Experience & Skills:
5–8 years of Cisco switching/routing and Fortinet firewall administration in enterprise networks.
Robust knowledge of network security, VPN technologies, QoS, firewall mgmt and MPLS architectures.
Proficiency with network monitoring and trending tools; experience with RCA & SLA compliance.
