Summary

UST is looking for an experienced MERN Stack / Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end development experience across MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, along with experience in Snowflake, REST API development, cloud technologies, and CI/CD.

Candidates with experience in healthcare data analytics and US Healthcare systems will be preferred.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled MERN Stack / Full Stack Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. The role will involve working across the complete software development lifecycle and collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Roles &

Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable full-stack web applications using the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

- Develop robust and reusable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

- Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.js and JavaScript (ES6 ).

- Design and implement efficient data models and database solutions using MongoDB.

- Work with Snowflake for data integration, analytics, and data-driven application requirements.

- Develop, integrate, and consume REST APIs for application and system integrations.

- Implement asynchronous programming, error handling, authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data teams, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.





- Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support activities.

- Use Git/Bitbucket for source code management, branching, pull requests, and collaborative development.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated application deployment.

- Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted IDE/CLI tools to improve software development lifecycle (SDLC) productivity and code quality.

- Support application containerization and deployment using Docker.

- Work with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS, for application development and deployment.

- Follow coding standards, secure development practices, unit testing, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.

- Analyze and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.

- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide explicit technical communication throughout the development lifecycle.

What you need

Required Skills

- 5 years of overall professional experience in MERN Stack / Full Stack Development.

- Strong hands-on expertise in:

- Node.js

- Express.js

- React.js

- MongoDB

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6 ) and asynchronous programming.

- Experience in REST API development, integration, and consumption.

- Experience with Snowflake and data-driven application development.

- Strong understanding of full-stack application architecture and development.

- Experience with Git/Bitbucket and version control practices.

- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and application deployment.

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI-enabled IDEs, or CLI tools within the SDLC.





- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration capabilities.

Desired Skills

- Knowledge of Python and Python REST APIs for scripting, backend services, or integration tasks.

- Experience with AWS cloud services and application deployment.

- Experience with Docker and containerization.

- Knowledge of healthcare data analytics and healthcare information systems.

- Prior experience working in the US Healthcare industry.

- Understanding of healthcare-specific data, workflows, and regulatory considerations.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Linguistics, Engineering, or a related field.

- Ph.D. preferred.

- Equivalent technical education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
