About the Role Alberta Payments & Technology is looking for a motivated Jr. Software Test Engineer with experience in both Manual and Automation Testing to join our technology team in Ahmedabad.

The role involves working closely with software developers and other team members to understand requirements, design and execute test cases, identify software defects, and ensure the quality, functionality, usability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand project requirements and translate them into effective test cases and test scenarios.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
- Develop and execute automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Perform functional, regression, usability, and performance-related testing as required.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and software issues.
- Re-test resolved defects and perform regression testing to ensure issues have been properly addressed.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
- Maintain test cases, test scripts, test reports, and testing documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Contribute feedback and suggestions to continuously improve software quality and testing processes.
- Use tools such as Jira and GitHub as part of the development and testing workflow.

Qualifications

- 3 years of experience in software QA/testing.
- Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Good understanding of Java programming.
- Experience with API testing using Postman and/or Swagger.
- Robust understanding of test case planning, design, execution, and reporting.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira and GitHub.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL/database testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience designing or working with automation testing frameworks.
- Stronger exposure to API automation/testing.
- Understanding of automated testing framework design.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

Important Location Requirement This is a strictly Work From Office position based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

- Currently based in Gujarat, OR
- Genuinely willing to relocate to Ahmedabad, Gujarat and work from the office.
