Job Objective: To supervise and control day-to-day factory operations, ensuring that blown film extrusion machines are manufactured, assembled, tested, and dispatched on time, with the required quality and workmanship standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Production &
Assembly Plan and supervise daily machine manufacturing and assembly activities.
Ensure all machines are progressing according to the committed production schedule.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, fabrication, assembly and testing activities.
Monitor machine-wise progress from component availability to final assembly. 2.
Manpower
Management Allocate workers according to their skills and daily priorities.
Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and working hours.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower and avoid unnecessary idle time.
Identify manpower requirements and communicate them to management. 3.
Quality
Control Ensure components and assemblies meet approved drawings/specifications.
Check workmanship, alignment, finishing, wiring, piping, lubrication and assembly quality.
Ensure proper inspection before machine testing.
Immediately report defects, rework and quality issues to management. 4.
Machine
Testing &
Trial Coordinate machine testing before dispatch.
Ensure all mechanical and electrical functions are checked.
Maintain testing/checklist records.
Ensure customer-required modifications are completed before dispatch.
Material &
Inventory Coordination Monitor availability of critical machine components.
Coordinate with stores/purchase for shortages.
Prevent material wastage, damage and unnecessary consumption.
Maintain proper identification and storage of components. 6.
Dispatch
Responsibility Track every machine against its committed dispatch date.
Ensure packing, loading and documentation are completed properly.
Pay special attention to packing quality to prevent component damage during transportation.
Escalate any risk of dispatch delay well in advance.
Safety &
Housekeeping Maintain 5S / positive housekeeping practices on the shop floor.
Ensure workers follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools and machinery. 8.
Daily
Reporting Prepare a daily production report covering:
Machine-wise progress Manpower Material shortages Work completed Pending activities Quality/rework issues Testing status Dispatch readiness * Conduct daily shop-floor review with the concerned team.
