Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Collections Specialist to join our energetic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing legal collection, ensuring compliance with all relevant state regulations.

This role requires a solid understanding of debt collection laws, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively from initiation to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
Initiate and manage legal proceedings for debt recovery, including drafting and filing complaints, summons, and other necessary court documents.
Conduct thorough legal research to support collection efforts and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, such as NI Act.
Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and consent judgments with debtors or their legal representatives to maximize recovery rates.
Prepare and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, garnishments,



and settlement agreements.
Communicate effectively with debtors, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the collection process.
Represent the company in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as required, or prepare attorneys for such appearances.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities, communications, and legal actions in the case management system.
Monitor accounts to identify delinquent debts and determine appropriate legal action based on established policies and procedures.
Advise management on collection strategies, potential risks, and prospects for process improvement within the legal collections framework.
Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and legal requirements related to debt collection practices.
