### Own custom features from requirement to verified delivery

We are looking for a product engineer who combines strong software fundamentals with an established AI-assisted development workflow. You should be comfortable taking a well-defined feature, identifying the important decisions, building it, and proving that it works.

Our work includes custom websites, member experiences, business applications, and integrations. Assignments are scoped to a specific outcome, with architecture and review support from 5D.

### What you will deliver

- Features spanning interface, application logic, APIs, and data storage as required.
- Integrations, account flows, permissions, background workflows, or payment-related features appropriate to the assignment.
- Maintainable code with proportionate tests and clear handling of errors and edge cases.
- Implementation notes, setup instructions, and a reviewable handoff.

### What you must demonstrate

- Shipped products or substantial features that you owned end to end.
- A computer science background or equivalent demonstrated engineering depth.
- Strong experience with a modern web stack, API design, data modelling, and debugging.
- Sound judgment around access control, secrets,



data integrity, and third-party integrations.
- The ability to work within existing architecture and explain implementation tradeoffs clearly.

### AI is part of the role

AI coding tools must already be a core part of how you plan, implement, debug, test, and document work. Show how you supply context, break down a feature, review changes, and verify behaviour. You remain responsible for every delivered change, including code generated by AI.

### How the engagement works

This opportunity is for someone currently employed full-time with approximately 10–15 hours of spare capacity each week. Work is assigned as needed at an agreed hourly rate, with adaptable scheduling, defined deliverables, deadlines, and hour budgets. Weekly hours are not guaranteed.

Selected consultants join 5D Portal, log actual working time, and provide a brief video progress walkthrough for each day worked. Timesheets are reviewed and approved hours paid weekly. Payment method and currency are agreed during onboarding. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a paid pilot with a scope and budget agreed in advance.
