Role & responsibilities The Group Head-HR will lead the entire Human Resources function and ensure that all hospital units have the required manpower, standardized HR systems, solid employee accountability and complete statutory and NABH-related HR compliance.
This is a strategic as well as hands-on leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the group-wide manpower plan, sanctioned-strength matrix and HR budget.
Maintain unit-wise and department-wise vacancy, deployment and productivity status.
Ensure adequate staffing for all critical 247 hospital services.
Standardize HR policies, SOPs, formats and approval processes across all units.
Supervise attendance, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee files, training, appraisals and separations.
Review daily absenteeism, shortage of critical staff, overtime and roster deviations.
Conduct weekly HR reviews with Centre Heads and departmental HoDs.
Monitor employee attrition, retention, discipline, grievances and workplace culture.
Oversee POSH, sensitive employee matters and major disciplinary proceedings.
Ensure HR readiness for NABH assessments, internal audits and statutory inspections.
Review outsourced-manpower performance and contractor compliance.
Approve HRMS master-data changes and payroll inputs before Finance reconciliation.
Implement KRA, KPI, probation-assessment and performance-appraisal systems.
Submit consolidated HR MIS, risks, exceptions and CAPA status to management.
Ensure confidentiality of employee, payroll, medical, grievance and disciplinary records.
Preferred candidate profile
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MHA or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 20 years of total HR experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.
At least 10 years of experience as Head of Human Resources in a 300+ bedded hospital.
Experience handling 500+ employees and multiple hospital units is preferred.
Solid knowledge of manpower planning, labour compliance, NABH HR requirements, payroll, HRMS and employee relations.
Robust leadership, confidentiality, analytical and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Must be willing to visit and review all assigned hospital units.
