Title: SharePoint Architect Architecture Revamp & Modernization

Shift: 2 to 11 pm

Job Type: 2 months contract

Summary: Looking for an experienced SharePoint Architect with solid experience in reviewing, redesigning, and modernizing existing SharePoint architectures. The primary responsibility will be to assess the current SharePoint architecture/design, identify gaps and technical limitations, and create a revised architecture that is scalable, secure and maintainable.

Must Haves:
10+ years of overall SharePoint experience, with significant experience in architecture/solution design.
Mandatory hands on experience assessing an existing SharePoint architecture along with redesigning/revamping it.
Experience defining a revised / target-state SharePoint architecture.
Ability to develop a roadmap for transitioning from the existing architecture to the proposed architecture.
Experience deciding what existing components should be retained, redesigned, migrated, replaced, or retired.

Key Responsibilities:




Assess the organization's existing SharePoint architecture and design.
Review existing sites, content structures, permissions, workflows, customizations, integrations, and governance.
Identify architectural and technical gaps.
Recommend improvements to the existing design.
Develop the future-state SharePoint architecture.
Redesign information architecture, site structure, permissions, taxonomy, metadata, and governance where required.
Review existing workflows and integrations and recommend modernization prospects.
Evaluate the use of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Teams, Azure, and other Microsoft technologies.
Develop architecture diagrams and detailed technical documentation.
Define migration/modernization strategy and implementation roadmap.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development/engineering teams during implementation.
Ensure the redesigned architecture meets requirements for scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and future growth.
