Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medicines accurately as per the prescription and applicable regulations.
Verify prescriptions for drug name, dosage, quantity, interactions, and possible contraindications.
Provide patients with clear instructions regarding dosage, administration, precautions, and storage of medicines.
Maintain proper records of medicines dispensed, purchased, returned, and expired.
Ensure medicines are stored appropriately according to temperature and storage requirements.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely procurement of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
Check medicines regularly for expiry dates, batch numbers, damaged packs, and proper labeling.
Maintain separate and accurate records for controlled/scheduled medicines as required by applicable regulations.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding medication-related queries.
Identify and report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, or other safety concerns to the appropriate authority.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures, hospital policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the pharmacy.
Assist with stock audits and periodic physical verification of pharmacy inventory.




Prepare purchase requirements and assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Maintain all pharmacy registers, bills, invoices, and other required documentation.
Ensure proper disposal of expired, damaged, or unusable medicines as per applicable procedures.
Support internal and external inspections/audits and provide required records.
Perform any other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the management.

Required Qualifications
D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the applicable State Pharmacy Council.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, prescriptions, dosage forms, and medication safety.
Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain pharmacy records.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience
0–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Freshers with the required qualification and registration may also be considered.
